But all I can tell you without a link is having owned a Vitus they are good value.. Just make sure you look after it, as with all 'value' bikes they cut costs with cheaper headsets and bottom brackets.. Which is fine so long as you service it0 -
I'm on my 5th Vitus based on their spec vs £ and well, They're blue this yearAnd the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made.0

Giant aren't bad this year for value other than the bloody awful Fox Float Evo forks. The Overdrive 2 headset makes the forks even more of a problem.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Obvious copy and paste of the links so presumably we are second fiddle to where you first asked the question!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I would go for the Giant out of those two but save for a better fork. Superb frame, ropey fork.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I'd go for this

As I said in the other thread:
Purely looking at the price of the 2 you linked I'd say buy this:

Suspension travel counts for a lot less than geometry.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

The pricier Escarpe 275VRS gets a very good review in this month's MBR mag (wins the group test, ahead of Canyon Spectral), and that appears to be the same frame as the version in your links. I think I'll be keeping an eye on CRC when their 2015 bikes come out, to see if there's any nicely discounted 275VRS going.0
