3T Tornova Bars - anyone here using them?

Wonder if someone could help with a query about 3T Tornova bars. Recently ordered some 42cm ones online. When they arrived they measure exactly 40cm c-c at the hoods and 41.5cm at the bar ends. They are labelled as 42s, yet the 3T website states the size for the Tornova model is measured centre to centre at the hoods so I am puzzled. Not sure if the ones I have been sent are just 40cm ones incorrectly labelled or whether I should order 44cm ones to get my desired 42cm measurement c-c at the hoods.

Interesting. I have a set of the alloy Tornova which are supposed to be 44. They are taped up, but just measured them and they are 42 centre to centre at the hoods and approx 43.5 centre to centre at the bar ends. Like you I thought they were supposed sized based on the centre to centre measurement at the hoods, and I definitely ordered the 44.
  • Thanks - that is very useful. Sounds like I need to reorder the 44s, and 3T clearly haven't a clue how to measure their own handlebars :)

Obviously I haven't fitted them yet, but the Tornova shape seems really good - nice combination of flat tops with a deepish drop. My bike currently has the FSA Wing Pros it came with which I have grown to really dislike as my hands feel horribly cramped in the drops.
