Hi all, I do apologise.
I am getting a bit stuck on terminology and know I have the wrong adapter, I just am not sure what to search for.
I think I might know, please confirm whether I have the terminology right.
I have an avid elixir 7 rear brake with (I think a post fit).
I have a Ragley Marley frame with an IS mount. (Max 180mm rotor)
I have a 160mm rotor.
I ordered a:
'Shimano Mount Adaptor Rear Post To IS 160mm'
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... -prod13749
I was pretty pleased with myself.
I ended up with what you see in the photo.

I have read somewhere that 160mm or 180mm needs the other one rear or front (Or something).
Does this mean that I need the above but for 180mm?
So: Mount Adaptor Rear Post To IS 180mm
Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm, thanks, I like your thinking.
I don't think so though.
It appears to be a bit over 10mm out on both errrr arms (?)
Does one buy 'spacers' or 'washers' or 'extensions' ?
Or does the adapter normally fit, it is just a case of getting the right one?0 -
Its on the wrong way round... heres an example for you:A Flock of Birds
+ some other bikes.0 -
Yippee.
Thanks for that. You were right.
Apologies for doubting you cooldad.
I couldnt see how that would have made up the 10-15mm, but it completely shifts the position on the rotor.
Thanks again guys.
