Stage winners trophy?

Do stage winners on the grand tours get any kind of trophy? Watching the Giro I was reminded that every podium I've seen seems to involve the stage winner holding a lame looking cuddly toy and a bunch of flowers.

These wins are often the pinnacle of the rider's career yet they seem to get nothing to show for it.

Is there nothing more permanent given to them?

Yeah, at the Tour de France they've been sponsored by Power Bar in recent years and look like this:

you're right OP - that trophy is way better than a stripy jersey that anyone can buy

The Spanish races inc Vuelta often present very impressive looking trophies.
The worst thing I've seen presented to the 2nd and 3rd GC podium finishes in most of the ASO races are a very cheap looking plastic medalion.

Win a Vuelta stage in Toledo and you get the trophy and a huge sword

Now there's a way to deal with fans getting too close!

Or on the ones where you win meats and cheeses, the next day you could ride up the climb with a tray of bite sized pieces of your victory food and the fans would be too distracted as you rode past.
