Colnago C59 and M10

I moved a few frames along last year and have now ended up with these two. I have just taken some updated photos for my records and thought I would post them here too;

For those that care about such matters, the C59 weighs 14.6lbs as pictured, the M10 15.7lbs. Other than the wheels, the main difference in spec between the two is that the C59 has a Super Record cassette (Chorus on the M10) and the Ti spindle on the chainset.

I used the M10 through Autumn and Spring with some race blades fitted (and some alloy wheels) but the C59 will be used pretty much constantly for the next few months now the roads are clean (mind you, I did get caught in the rain at the top of Frogatt Edge on Saturday :roll: )

Its hard to justify a C60 with these two already (and this C59, my second, is definitely a keeper) but I will keep reading the reviews with interest..... :wink:

Cheers

Rich

    Love them both, well I would say that owning the same C59.

    How do you find the M10 in comparison? Personally the M10 is a little more reactive and slightly lighter. I took my M10 to Hungary a couple of weeks ago and I really glad I did as it rode beautifully out there around the cycle paths of Lake Balaton :-)

    I have only ridden the M10 on Ksyrium SLR's so far which do have a pretty harsh ride. Its certainly stiff and lively though.

    I would say the C59 feels like a smoother ride although as I say, ive not tried the M10 on either the LW's or the Enve's yet.

  • Love your bikes, they're beautiful.....what bars do you use on them? I like their shape and have a new build in the pipeline.

    Thanks for the positive comments

    The bars on both bikes are Deda Presa. I like the short drop and reach which is the same as on the Zero 100 bar.

    Nice C59, I nearly bought that colour when it was out.

    To any C59 owners, a friend is on the look for a used 50s frame, if anyone is selling one at any point please PM me

    I'm not sure Colnago nailed it with the C60,I've had huge expectations and I was in a talk with my local Colnago dealer then he finally managed to have one delivered for another customer. I seriously don't like the bike,Colnago messed up big time IMHO. Ok it was the gaudy black with red,white and some green color scheme but I could not stand the sight of the round head tube clashing with the squared tubes. The C59 is just plain stunning to me,so is the chinese M10. Oh well,I'll buy a Tarmac Sworks anyway... :lol:
