So I'm after some nice shorts to wear when riding around town.
Not for commuting I should add.
I've got currently on my list
Rapha
Swrve
Fred Perry x Bradley Wiggins
Are there any other than spring to mind?

Vulpine, Giro?
There's a good range @ alwaysriding.co.ukLocation: ciderspace0 -
Levis do some cool ones in their commuter range.
I went el cheapo though and got some Uniqlo jeans (which have some elastic in them) and chopped off the legs and sewed up the turnups so they look like the Levi's ones.

But the new ones don't look as good.Specialized Allez Sport 20130 -
I've got the levi commuter jeans didn't know they did shorts as well. Will have a look at them along with all the other options people have mentioned in hereBMC TM01 - FCN 0

I have swrve and Rapha shorts. Both are great, my swrve longs recently survived a slide along a gravel covered road almost unscathed, (my merino top was shredded along the arm I landed on). I think swrve are more widely available than rapha so your more likely to get them at a discount.0

Just bought some new Howies shorts. They are fantastic:

On a related subject, I need some cheap padded baggies that have fewer pockets than the SAS annual fishing trip.
Anyone got any ideas?

Cheap, but you may need padded undies:

I'll warn you now; the colour of those Union 34 shorts is retina-upsetting blue, and they size up *very* large. I sent mine back for reasons of fit and domestic calm.Location: ciderspace0

I believe the BWC isn't know for sartorial elegance. I've gone for the smallest the have so if they are too big they just go back.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

The standard shorts I have are fairly loose, but then I'm not over blessed with calf muscles. I think they do something called pencil shorts on their website (can't link as my phone isn't that user frienly - maybe later). they looked more tailored than the ones I chose.
Edit: http://www.swrve.co.uk/mens shorts.html The durable cotton is the one that survived my recent "off". Skinny fit 3/4s or "ciggarette" shorts. More styles available than when I bought mine.0
