Tracing my Road Bike frame back

Hi All,
Have never posted on here before so hopefully I've got the right area. Basically I am trying to figure/find out a bit more about my bike frame. The finished bike can be seen below but first, a bit of backstory.
So I bought the frame originally from Soul Cycles in Edinburgh; second (maybe third) hand and in pretty rough condition. It originally had big decals saying "ALAN" on it which turns out is a company and not just the previous owner being narcissistic! However, these decals looked very much done by hand and I struggle to believe they were original with the bike.
A photo of how it was brought can be seen here.
I have since stripped the frame completely, hand brushed and polished it back to bare aluminium and added all new components but I still know very little about the frame. I know Alan Racing still exist but I can't find much about them or get an idea of how old the frame I have is, where it was made etc. I have also tried searching the serial number on the bottom but that returned no results either!
Any information that anyone could provide would be awesome; no matter how much guesswork is involved.
Cheers all.
