Discs and SRAM levers

Does anyone have experience or know anything about how mechanical disc brakes work with SRAM levers. I have read about possible issues around different amounts of cable pull and I don't want to get stuck with sub optimum brakes if they aren't really compatible. I'm looking at trp spyre if it matters.

can another shed any light or am I worrying about nothing?

thanks

Apex levers and BB7's work just fine on my Charge.

I've no idea what these issues are. In my experience, of Apex, they have far better cable pull than I had with Shimano.

    Thanks guys,

While I have you here, what are your thoughts on the BB7. Reading around suggests they are( or maybe were with the Spyre coming along) the best mechanical disc brake. Should I look no further and get the BB7? Do you guys have the road version or just basic BB7s?

    Thanks

BB7's are, IMO, excellent but, now overpriced. They are harder to setup than the Spyre or the Hy Rd.

If you buy BB7's you MUST buy the road version (i.e. the silver ones) because they are designed to work with road levers. Don't buy the Road SL because they are simply not worth it.

But, honestly, I'd get the Spyres instead.

Running TRP Spyres with SRAM Rival on my Crosslight. Work great, and very easy to set up. I also read somewhere that the SRAM Gore Professional brake cables work particularly well with discs, although mine are the original SRAM cables that came in the shifter box.
