Looking at commuting on my Giant SCR1 and looking for some mudguards, more full time guards rather than race guards as i think the are crap !

My Giant SCR1 has SKS Chromoplastic guards which fit just fine around the 28mm tyres. Not much to say about them since they work well and haven't broken. Sometimes the front flap can foul a foot, but that only happens when moving the bars in a big arc at a standstill. Black guards would probably match better than silver.

Fitting is fiddly - I gave up and paid a bike shop to do it (£10). My bike has a rack and it all fits together.

+1 to the sks ones. I think giant may also do their own brand ones which should work as well.

+1 to sks chromoplastics. About to get my second set fitted to my bike (last set was on an old bike)

And +1 to getting shop to do it - they are a real pain to fit :)
