Dilys the Help for Heroes Bicycle

Just a quick heads up for those interested in this kind of thing.
Dilys was recovered from a collection of abandoned and dilapidated bicycles at the Search and Rescue base at RAF Boulmer. It was agreed that she could be recycled for a charity project. In January she made the long journey to North Wales where a crack team started on her professional transformation.
Previous projects have included a sultry Peugot Racer (currently on display in the Help for Heroes shop in Cardiff) and a Sea King helicopter Tail Rotor blade which fetched £8500 at auction.
This Sunday her team, Searchandarrestyou, head off to take part in the Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2014 cycling 350 miles from Brussels to Paris.
The following Sunday, June 8th they return to Blackheath, London where Dilys will be on display. Dilys will be signed by Mark Cavendish & his wife Peta (who is also completing the BBBR 2014) Dilys will then be ridden the ten miles into central London as part of the Hero Ride 2014. Thereafter Dilys will be offered for sale with every penny raised going to Help for Heroes.
