When you are out tearing up the miles what piece of equipment could you not do without?

Mine would have to be my bike computer

For me it is my phone. It provides computer needs, tracking and music, all at times I need them.

When out and about on the bike I personally find it essential that I'm present!!

    Wot? A Fiat 500?

I've found it useful to have the battery on board for the Di2 if I'm on the good bike, otherwise the ride's a bit less enjoyable. Mainly though some kind of device to record speed, distance, cadence & time.

My Suunto T6 hrm. I don't use to 'train', I just like looking at how hard/not so hard my heart is working. I download
the info to my spreadsheet to look at the data (for no other reason than looking at it for a couple of minutes).
  • My rear view mirror. Mudguards, GPS, rain cape etc are all very useful, but I feel so much more vulnerable leaving home without the rear view mirror.
They use their cars as shopping baskets; they use their cars as overcoats.
