Thinking of upgrading wheels on my road bike

I have a focus carbon cayo ltd triple with shimano 105 running gear and have been pondering about upgrading my wheels,it has Rodi stylus wheels at the moment,it's mostly training and sportive's that I do,was looking at spending up to £500 is it worth going for carbon or just light alloy ones.

    500 quid buy you some top banana alloy wheels or some Planet X carbon wheels... your choice

    Been looking at fulcrum racing 3 any body using them.

    I've been on Fulcrum 3's for two years. Can't really draw comparisons (except to R500's) but I have been very happy with them. Spin up well, climb well, durable. If my next bike came with them, I'd be happy.

    +1 for the Fulcrum 3s. Great wheels for the price.
