Dura Ace 7800 shifter compatibility

Hi all,
Hoping for some quick confirmation on 7800 shifter compatibility:
Hoping to use them with:
old 105 front mech
old 105 rear mech
5700 crankset
old 105 brakes
(I am not sure of the 105 spec number but assume it is 5600)
Would like to know if there's any specific type of cassette or chain that these shifters need, as well as compatibility with the above parts. I know it's a bit of a mismatch but STI shifters are super hard to find and I've come across some 7800 ones at a better price than any 105 levers I've seen.
Many thanks.

Should be fine since the pull ratio is didn't change until later Shimano stuff (5700, 6700, 7900 and up) so front mechs won't work from that series and braking won't be as good.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

Thanks for the reply Grill. So what you're saying is that my 105 components are older but in fact more suited to the 7800 stuff? All this Shimano compatibility across the board is highly confusing but I think I'm getting the hang of it0
