"notchy" feel and sound after changing cassette

Hello,
Just changed the rear cassette on my Sabbath. Have gone from an ultegra 6700 11-25 to a 105 5700 12-27. The rest of the groupset is all ultegra (compact).
When pedalling slowly with some resistance I can now feel a slight notchiness which I think feels like it is coming from the chainset - almost as if you can feel the chain engaging / leaving the teeth. Can't see anything obvious and had a quick play with inline adjusters but pretty clueless really.
Any advice?
Thanks
S

Both cassettes are the same spec, just made from different materials
Did you fit any spacers required before putting the new cassette on the freehub?0 -
Yep, spacer in place as per destructions.0

How old and how many miles on the chain?0

did you measure the chain to check if it's worn?
if not, do it, a worn chain will not be kind to a new cassette
otherwise, probably just needs the adjustment tweaking, although if the old chain was just right for length you really ought to fit a slightly longer one to match the increased size of the largest cogmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Chain has only seen about 700 miles.
From what I've read before, it's a combination that should be ok chain length wise.
What should I be looking at in terms of set up? Changes are all good.0
