It depends what he wants it for, but that mx with a 63mm coil fork is a bit pointless, I'd rather have a rigid forked bike.

One is a decent mountain bike, and one isn't.
If he's planning to do mountain bike stuff, the choice is obvious, if not this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
