Had an off & the rear derailleur has sheared off near the dropout. It's a 2006 Sram x9.
Could anyone in the know tell me if the part that connects to the dropout can be replaced or is it new derailleur time?
Thanks in advance...

  • Assuming the derailleur isn't bent, you should be able to get a new hanger for you frame (assuming its not a steel frame).

    What frame is it?

Thanks for the quick reply, The frame is a GT Avalanche Expert 2006 - aluminium.
I don't think the derailleur is bent it was shifting ok for a short while after till it gave up the ghost

  • Have a look at BETD: http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk ... %2FHangers
They sell hangers for most frames, looks like Hanger No 116 may be the one, but you'll need to check.
