Now that I am the proud owner of a Dawes Galaxy, I have decided that I am in need of a front rack. In reality, I don't need the load capacity, but I think that they complete the look (along with the Carradice I'm going to be stealing from my mum, and frame fit pump which is on order... I'm drawing the line at SPD sandals and a beard, though!)

On the back, I'm going to swap the original rear rack for my (black) Tortec Expedition which, in my opinion, is the absolute business.

What should I put on the front? I am thinking that the matching Tortec Expedition rear rack might be slight overkill, but I do think I would like one that is one piece.

Does anyone have experience of the Tortec, or other front racks?

Do you mean an actual front rack? as opposed to a lowrider, in which case the Surly Nice front rack is probably the best (although it weighs a ton).
If you do actually mean low riders, then look at the Tubus range, these are probably the best of that ilk.

I mean a lowrider I think, like the one I posted a link to.

Tubus might be excellent but, for only very light use, I don't think I can justify paying twice the price of the Tortec.
