I purchased this fairly locally from the best known auction site to cock around on over the summer and teach myself some basic skills like bunny hopping properly, manualing and others. At present it is pretty much stock other than the small modifications the previous owner made to the saddle and seatpost (both DMR):
The basic spec is as follows:
Frame: Specialized P1 (Reynolds 520)
Fork: Specialized Taper Cr-Mo
Brakes: Avid BB5
Tyres: Specialized Rhythm Lite Control
Gear Ratio: 25x12
I'd like to make some modifications to the bike, like better brakes, pedals and grips. However, I am a bit cash poor at present! I do have some Teva Crank shoes on the way (£45 at present with a 10% discount code) to help with pedal grip. If it is still poor I will get some cheapish ones like the Wellgo MG1 or DMR V8 Mag before moving onto the other stuff.
I am really looking forward to learning how to better handle the bike and progressing to some dirt jumps. There are some a stones throw away from my house, in Otterspool Park, Liverpool which is handy!
