Jockey wheel play

just cleaning the bike from the weekend, and noticed that both jockey wheels have side to side play in them.
no sliding sideways, but rocking.
Mech is a Shimano SLX M675 medium cage.
done some searching, and it seems that the upper wheel should have movement, but the lower should be pretty solid.
Is this right?
the bike has only been built since february, but has been used every weekend in lovely gritty wet welsh mud.
is this a poor life for jockey wheels? or are they just a bit poo as standard?
I havent really had any shifting issues. more of a pokey-prody observation!
Whats a reasonable replacement if required? some are the same price as a new mech!
cheers!

Top needs float. Bottom doesn't. Float moves across the axel so sounds about right in the top, bottom doesn't do a great deal apart from spin0

If it feels fine leave them. New Tacx or BBB Rollerboys are about a tenner a pair so not expensive.I don't do smileys.
