Just purchased the 6870 Di2 groupset for use on a Cipollini Logos Frame.
The frame has an integrated seatpost that im told doesn't accomodate the seatpost battery that comes with this set.
Do I just need to buy the external battery + frame mount (Frame has mounting point underside by the looks of it) + charger and hope that all the cables are compatible.

Have you considered situating the battery in the tube rather than the seatpost? With a bit of packing it will sit in the tube without any issues.
The cables will be compatible. If you do go the route of an externally mounted battery, you may need/want to use a shorter cable to connect the battery to the junction box as the cable to connect from the junction box to the seatpost battery will be much longer. Cables are about £15.0 -
Looking at the frame, I see no reason why it wouldn't fit. Sounds more like CYA than sound advice...English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

Thanks for the answers.
This is the frame, you can see the battery underneath.

Ermmm... just because the factory mounts the battery under BB doesn't mean it can't use the internal one. Keep in mind that that bike is using 7970 which was released way before the internal battery (and isn't compatible with it as it doesn't use etubes).English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0
