Suspension setup Q

So my Canyon survived an uplift at Antur at the weekend, but I had to really alter my susp settings in order to get down at a reasonable pace without shattering myself to pieces!

In terms of rebound and compression damping, how would I make my rear shock as soft as possible without it running out of travel over repetitive hits or rebounding so it buckaroo's me over jumps?

I have a DHX RC2 with coil preload, rebound, low speed compression and bottom out control which can be adjusted with air via a schrader valve.

I normally run the shock quite firm for trails around here, but felt like I needed the extra bounce/softness at Antur.

I ended up running a faster rebound, had the LSC near midway and as little air as I could in the bottom out.

It seemed to work, but I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to rear shocks!
