Best value shorts recommendations

I have a bit of endura kit from MTB days. Shorts are pretty old and technology padding has moved on I bet.
Not brand bothered but probably will go down upgrading so i have matching kit tops, shorts, windstopper etc.
Right now I need a new pair of shorts either bib or not bib or even just a pair of padded knickers to go under my tights.
