Kmc missing link on a campagnolo record UN chain

I bought a new 10 speed chain for my centaur groupset, it's campagnolo record ultra narrow 10 speed. I tried to join it using a KMC 10speed campagnolo missing link. However the pins on the missing link are a very tight fit (almost interference fit) in the chain.

Just wondering if anyone has came across this issue before. I know there are two types of campagnolo missing link and this is for sure the ultra narrow 5.9mm version I am trying to use.

Yes they are tight, easier fitting them with a pair of proper fitting pliers

I have found that the links are tight at first.

I will try a bit more force pushing the pinof the master link through the rollers on chain. If not ive ordered a wipperman connex master link which is supposed to be better. Thanks again for your help
