Michelin Pro4 Service Course

I'm looking to get hold of some new tires for my Specialized Allez. I'm running Fulcrum Racing 5's and looking for a 25mm tire as the roads where I cycle are pretty poor quality.
I don't want to spend any more than £45 for the pair so was thinking of getting the Pro4 Service Course 25mm. I was about to buy when I noticed a review which said they are nearer to 28mm and may give clearance problems. Anyone have any experience of this?
Should I be considering anything else?

Yes they size up big. Not only in width, but also height. Here is my size info for 23mm and 25mm pro4s fitted to my RS80 C50s:
23MM PRO4 SC WIDTH (100PSI) (mm) 23.44 23.92 23.97 23.74 23.51 23.65 23.76 23.80
23MM rim+tyre height (mm) 72.00 71.74 71.80 71.98
25MM PRO4 SC WIDTH (100PSI) (mm) 26.69 26.91 27.22 27.21 26.81
25MM rim+tyre height (mm) 75.38 75.53 75.54 76.07
Measurements were taken at random intervals around the rim.
As you can see, the 25mm version are a little over 3mm wider, and about 4mm higher than the 23mm.
Sizing up large is not uncommon across brands, though.
Also consider the continental GP4000S and the vredstein fortezza tricomp. I don't know how they size, though.Red bikes are the fastest.0 -

They do come up large. They are also quite quite excellent. They should fit though you won't be running cruds with them.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)
