saddle rail size

Hi guys

looking at getting a new saddle for my bike and was wondering if the rails underneath are all a universal size? or am i going to have to get a new seat post as-well?

99% are, some aren't. Some don't use rails.
What do you have and what are you getting.

currently have:
saddle - WTB Laser V Race
seatpost - RaceFace Evolve XC

thinking of getting the Charge Scoop saddle, have seen it has won a few awards plus my other one is 6 year old and showing signs of wear.

The scoop has 6mm rails and will fit an Evolve post.

Those that aren't standard will usually make it obvious. Unless it has carbon rails or is I-Beam, you should be fine. The Scoop will be no problem.
