Has anyone replaced a rear brake cable on a Planet X Exocet 2 TT frame. I want to know how the cable is routed in the top tube is it in a sleeve or does it just run free in the tube?

No idea, but tying a piece of thread to the old one and gently pulling through is a good trick if you're worried about threading the new one

On my Synapse with internal routing, it is just free in the tube
2020 Reilly Spectre - raw titanium
2020 Merida Reacto Disc Ltd - black on black
    2015 CAAD8 105 - very green - stripped to turbo bike
    2018 Planet X Exocet 2 - grey

    The departed:

    2017 Cervelo R3 DI2 - sold
    Boardman CX Team - sold
    Cannondale Synapse - broken
    Cube Streamer - stolen
    Boardman Road Comp - stolen

I don't have a Exocet, but I did look a buying one and I did ask this question. Planet X told me it has a plastic internal sleeve so it should be straight forward

Yes it should have an internal. It certainty does for the gear cables, struggling to remember if the brakes the same but I'm sure it is.

The gears definitely do you can see them under the bottom bracket. I'm going to have a go at the weekend.

    My Exocet 1 does.

I was as concerned as you when I recabled it a couple of weeks ago, but yes inner sheathing on both gears and rear brake - dead easy !

If you drop the forks out, can you see/feel down inside the top tube to reassure yourself ?
