(Q) How to mount SRAM X7 shifters to M785 XT brakes?

Hello all,
The story: Just replaced my old Kona of 1998 vintage! Want to swap out the Formula brakes on the new bike so bought a set of XT M785's. The shifters are SRAM X7.
Now, as you can see from the age of my old bike, things have moved on a bit. The shifters will not mount to the brakes, Ispec B and matchmaker don't play together.
Are there any ready made brackets other than Problem Solvers or the Trickstuff Matshi things? The price of those things are ridiculous.
