The pivot point on the quick release cam on my front brake has just sheared. Luckily I wasn't riding at the time. The brakes are just over two years old.
Is this something that can be fixed or am I looking at front brake replacement?
What do people recommended as a replacement if that's what's needed? It's for a Boardman Race.
Has anyone else had this failure?

I'd suspect it's not fixable, would you trust it if it was? Any normal brake calliper will do, either try and pick the same up off ebay, just replace the broken one and have an odd pair or splash out for two. Maybe get the ones that match your levers, what are they? Sora brakes are £17/20 each if suitable, you may need to check what drop your current brakes are or your frame needs.

if you have tektro brakes on your bike take them off immediately and put them in the bin. If they are long drop buy some shimano r451 or r650. If normal drop, some 105 or ultegras will do the trick. Quality of operation and finish is way above the tektros. Ribble are usually the cheapest on r451 or r650 brakes.
