How not to service Hope Pro II Evo rear

Not sure if this applies to other hubs, but the two push on end pieces must go on the correct way.

Seems kind of obvious as they are different lengths, although I managed to get them the wrong way despite watching the Hope video 60 minutes before. :roll:

Trouble is I mistakenly put the cassette on and nipped it up to find the tool slipped out of the splines.

Because I got the ends the wrong way round the one on the drive side was too long and the tool bottomed out when tightening. This also meant I couldn't get enough purchase with the tool to remove it.

Cue dremel time...

All sorted now and cleaned once again as aluminium dust probably isn't the worlds best lube.

And to top it off, CRC sent me the wrong bearings so I had to service the freehub two end ones and re use them.

Not a terribly good end to the day. :oops:
