Im looking to buy my first carbon fiber bike which is the Lapierre Zesty 527. How durable to strong is the Lapierre's carbon frame compared to other mountain bike brand who sells carbon frame.
I am an aggressive and rider who likes long steep climb and long downhill ride, in short enduro.

As supersonic said...best to get a link up.Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.0 -
They are known as snappierre, but they may have rectified those problems...0

I've been doing some research as I have just bought a Lapierre myself2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)
2012 Cube Ltd SL (the hardtail XC 26er)
2014 Lapierre Zesty TR 329 (the full-sus 29er)0 -
I cracked my 2010 514 carbon chain stay, after a long drawn out process i not have a 2013 514 which is all carbon.
The bike its self is excellent and i found the internal cable routing easy enough to set up. Iv also taken mutlple rock strikes and crashes with no signs of damage.
The cable routing once it leaves the frame around the bottom bracket area is terrible and will both lead to frame destroying cable rub if not protected and results in alot of friction in the gears even when set up with new cables. I have fixed this problem by altering the cable routing under the bb rather than over the top and though the chain stay.
The frame bearings fitted as standard come with minimum grease in them so might be worth packing some in there before the winter comes.
Not sure if your frame will have the same lay out but just thought id let you know what to watch out for.0 -

Apparently they have improved the cable management over the last few years, but it is something I will keep an eye on.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)
