Hey guys ... new to the forum and hoping for some advice.
I'm looking for a decent hardtail within my budget of between £ 250 - £ 400.
I havent a clue how to compare different bike stats, so my trawling through the shops, Ebay etc is now sending my brain into overdrive. For sure I am looking at 2nd hand bikes which should see me get a decent spec for my budget, but also I have been checking out bikes made by B-Twin & Edingburgh Bike Co-op. I would prefer disc brakes if poss.
Hybrids would also be an option, the bike would be used for trail runs and road riding, so would prefer front forks on this with discs too .. i know this will limit my options given my budget.
Any advice would be great ... thanks

It's over budget but you can get 10% off by becoming a British Cycling member and a further 10% by purchasing vouchers and paying for it with them. Taking into account the cost of joining British Cycling that brings it down to £425.All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.
