Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the Praxis Works BB30 BB? I have one installed on my bike and I keep getting a very annoying click once every revolution of the cranks, but only when out of the saddle.

I spoke to the guys at Praxis when it first started happening about 2 weeks after I had built my bike. They suggested a re install following the instructions to the letter. This I did and I know that the drive side cup has bottomed out on the stop this time, I have a funny feeling it wasn't in tight enough the first time.

However it has been on the bike for a week now with no noises but it has started again. It's clicking in both front rings so unlikely it's anything rubbing, especially as it had dissapeared for a week before rearing it's ugly head again!

I'm going to give it one last chance and reinstall again this week but just looking for any advice from the forum members before I do it again. I have the wheels manufacturing adaptor's ready to try if the click comes back again, and I also have a SRAM Force 22 here as well but that's a last resort as I'm keen to keep my Ultegra crank.

Thanks.

I had an issue with my praxis bb30 BB and the shop that fitted it said it wasn't the first one to be returned, I've used the wheels manufacturing adapters and they seem to work well and now have a press in sleeve with a threaded BB which is silent after the BB30 bearings started clicking.

Yeah I have heard of some people having issues with them. It's meant to be one of the best options as a solution to the problem, but it's still a solution to a problem if you know what I mean!

Which sleeve insert did you go with?

I'm not sure which sleeve is in the frame as the LBS ordered it and fitted it after nothing else was working.

I fitted a Praxis BB30 adapter to one of my frames as the original BB30 bearings were starting to creak and it was a good time to upgrade to a Shimano chainset.

So far it's been faultless and the best thing I've spent money on

I took the BB out of the frame today with a mind to try fitting it again from scratch. Turns out the non drive side bearing is pretty rough so I'm hoping that this is what's been causing the click. Pretty poor tbh as it's only been on the bike for 3 weeks! I'll need to order up a replacement in order to get the bike back on the road. I've emailed Praxis though so hoping they'll reimburse the cost.
