A man with egg beater pedals that have not fallen apart. Are they the news ones are they any better than the first gen that fell apart far too quickly.

Ha! I'm an advocate of 1st gen eggbeaters. I must have mechanical sympathy :)

Great SS build. All of my bikes are SS, I'm a huge fan. What's the weight like on that?

I used them off road and I got 18 months from them max. Nothing to do with mechanical sympahty it is too with the battering XC riding give them.

Out of interest, what levers are you running?
They look like tektro RL340s but not too sure?
    Thanks!

I'm not sure about the levers, they came on a pompino I bought from Onone a few years ago, it came with some moustache bars. I converted it to a flat bar set up and put the levers aside for a rainy day :)

A bit of Googling suggests you might be right about them being RL340's.

It's a light enough frame/fork but as I was trying to keep costs down the components are budget (heavy) so it's a bit of a
contradiction. If funds allow I'd like some lightweight hand builts and a bling chain set.

Not too bad, i'm sure no matter what it comes in lighter than both my bikes! Enjoy it!
