My first road bike purchased in April 2012

Specialized Allez 16 2012

Groupset upgraded to 105 last summer
Wheels Mavic open pro on Ultegra 6700 hubs
Have to say it's been solid covered about 7000 miles on this now. Now to be used for Winter/Turbo and commuting

Not taken it out yet but will get a 25 miles in tomorrow morning then we can get to know each other on sunday when I have a 110 mile charity ride :)

    Both lovely bikes! That Allez is great colour scheme, I wish I hadn't got mine In red. The Kuota is doing it for me too, perhaps besides the white spokes which aren't my thing. Ridden it yet?

    How have you found the upgrade to 105 on the Allez? I've got the same bike and am currently debating whether to do the same.

    Would defo recommend it. Thought about it for a while as the group set plus fitting was nearly the same price as the bike new, but well worth it. World apart from the 2300 that was on there as standard.

    Also went for a 11-28 cassette which felt like it gave me loads more choice.

    The Kharma frame is stunning, but those wheels let it down. Just my personal opinion, but deep sections with alu tracks look utterly crap. I'd love to see that frame with some Mavic Cosmic Carbone 40T.

    I don't like stealth frames normally but I like both of them! Let us know how the new bike rides when you get chance.

    Also, when did Epic Cycles stop selling Kuota? Who sells the frames in the UK now?

    Highly recommended been using them for a while now for servicing & everything else.
