    Is this novice friendly? I have decent fitness, have ridden MTBs in anger, but lack on the dismounts/remounts.

    I misread that as "lack on the disastrous remounts".
    I have neither speed, fitness or bike handling skills. Although I could probably manage a disastrous remount. Yet CJ keeps telling me I should have a go.

    I've not raced in it, but have raced in the winter series and they are very friendly. In fact I've never heard of anyone being upset by riders attitudes at X races.

    I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.
