Got to say this looks awesome. Shows what you can achieve if you have the knowledge and expertise to do something a bit out of the ordinary. The 38's look perfect on that frame, glad I opted for the same on my Ribble 872. 50's look a bit out of proportion imo.

Asking the cost is a bit like asking a woman her age, I'm not telling also I have not added it up and I am not going to. Even at discounted trade prices it was not cheap.

So now I have bike envy so I will order a frame for myself now but I will mine with campagnolo Super Record RS and the new over torque crankset. Brakes will Avid BB7 road platinium or maybe some TRP brakes. Or maybe I will wait for Campagnolo hydraulic disc brake effort as they are meant to be working on something.

FFS, what happened to the shop mechanics going around with rusty pieces of junk?

I don't have rusty pieces of junk but all I have are frames from the early ninties and from from 1980. I don't actually have anything modern because until now modern has made me yawn. However this is going to change.

I agree with you and Ugo in that I don't normally like plastic bikes, but that does float my boat.

Disc brakes still need a bit of setting up (got to bed them in and clean the discs up to remove squealing)

It'll be the pads rather than the discs, take them out and rough them up on a concrete floor then apply copper slip to the back of the pad and refit.

    No more squeeling brakes.
    Advocate of disc brakes.

Tredz have old stock it is no longer made. I refuse to pay retail for anything bike now. Beside when I told my wife I was thinking about pink tape she nearly vomitted so I got that thought completey wrong.

Pads still squeeled after roughing them up. I changed them and no problems. She has no ridden twice and she loves it. Looking at her garmin data as well she is definatley faster on it , aero kit works. Now all I have to persuade here to do is to ditch the flappy sails she sometimes wears in favour of more figure hugging aero cloths.............. I wonder how that will go.

Quite interested in these frames. How does it ride? Stiff enough around the BB? Enough vertical compliance/too much/too little? And how firm is the front end?
Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

I don't like to review bikes that way. It is all too subjective. Also I do not ride it but from a brief spin it felt good. Also I am of the opinion tyres make a most difference to ride comfort so how compliant a frame is meaningless to me. It feels comfortable though. How firm is the front end what does that mean? I can't squish it if that helps.

How does a 6ft1 bloke ride a 52cm frame for any distance and make any meaningful assessment whn he will uncomfortable due to being cramped. Also as the tyres are different to the ones on my other bikes trying to make any form of comparison on the frame is impossible.
