Are tubular tyres really that difficult to change? Looked at some YouTube vids it doesn't seen too bad?

It's not hard putting one on, but getting one off can sometimes be a very interesting experience. The last one I had to get off took me half an hour and my thumbs hurt for the next 3 or 4 days. I wasn't shy with the glue fitting them though :)

Not hard to change - but I could take 3 or 4 inner tubes in the space I'd need for one tub.

Not hard to change in my experience. I've only ever used tub tape and honestly sometimes fitting a clincher can be harder work!

As above; providing a small section is left unglued/untaped (e.g., opposite valve), they're easily to change.
