RS monarch upgrade

Sorry if this is a stupid question but im struggling to get an answer.I have sorry had a RS Monarch RL rear shock,was losing pressure so it was returned to Sram/fishers for testing,turns out the damper was goosed,so Sram changed the damper,but upgraded it from the RL to the RT3 instead,now i have never used one so not sure of the difference,I have noticed it now has 3 settings on the Blue switch,Left,middle right instead of the Right,middle before,

Could anyone tell me what difference i should expect over the one i used before and best way to set it up,as im assuming im now using a "new" shock even though it is still the RL body but with RT3 internals,
