Anybody own this bike and have any feedback on it? I was looking at a more climbing orientated type bike but i fancy giving a more aero bike a try, not found many in depth reviews or horror stories on it yet, recently done a wheel upgrade on my current bike and it's fine for climbing but it's a compact 50/34.

I have covered a shade under 1k miles on mine, completed L-B-L Challenge on it...excellent machine, stiff, handles well and it is very comfortable. It is an easy bike to get on with and accepts 25c tyres if that is your choice. Mine is mechanical Ultegra, can't complain with the form or function.

Thanks for that, I've heard the usual creaky bottom bracket issues, and a firmware update is required if you want to mount the external battery internal, how does it climb really steep sections just out of interest?

Well, it doesn't flex if that helps...took mine over Hardknott last weekend, didn't make it any easier, but it certainly didn't make it any more difficult. That's not what it's about though, it climbs fine, but get it rolling on a lumpy, rather than silly hilly road and it holds speed very well. There are better bikes more suited to climbing steep hills, but not many 'climbing' bikes that could hold speed so well on a rolling road.

Yep, BB creaks, but it's not excessive.

Shame the bb creaks, I thought this bike might be unaffected, rotor cranks, bb right etc, makes you wonder why specialized redesigned the bottom bracket on their new tarmac, I absolutely hate creaks/clicks/ticks noises :-(
