Giro Empires

I am considering a new pair of shoes for the summer and the Empires are the ones that appeal to me the most. Has anyone had any experience with them? The other shoes which I may consider are the Sworks ones but not quite the same appeal.

To date I have worn some Specilized Pro road shoes which are good but find the dial system (not boa) to be a bit hit and miss.

I have a set. I'm a big fan so far and they're my goto kicks until the Bontrager Classiques are released.

Those Bontrager's don't do it for me - very nice though.

I like the look of the Gold and white Empires failing that the White/Black ones.

Is the lace system alright - having played rugby most of my life I never saw and issue with laces always seemed to do up better than a ratchet system?
