Brake Upgrade!

Hi All,
I'm looking to upgrade my brakes from the standard non-series Shimano ones I currently have, no matter what I do to them I can never seem to get much from them.
I'm not looking to spend bundles and more than likely will be buying used. I'm think Deore M596/615 as a safe bet? Are there any others that are comparable in terms of performance and price? I'm not bothered about them looking fancy or super light-weight.
Thanks,
Joe

You're right to think that - and unless your budget's super tight, they shouldn't be too expensive brand new.Specialized Roubaix Elite 2015

I think Chain Reaction Cycles are doing Deore M615 for £35 per end.

Crikey, that is cheap!0
