Pedals & shoes?

advise please.
i have had my first road bike for 4 weeks now and covered 150 miles or so. I feel that I would benefit from the clip less pedals and shoes now but i am a bit stuck on what to get. I have been looking on wiggle and the price ranges are massive and i cant see how they can differ that much. i know that it is probably best to go into a store and check the fit of a shoe but the price difference is considerable between store and online.
Can anyone give me a combination of both pedals and shoes to get me started?
not sure if it is relevant but my bike is a Merida ride alloy 90.
thanks

Make sure you practice clipping in and out lots at home before you go out. A visit to your local bike shop would be of great help I'm sure.

I'm still using them as they do the job I ask of them.
I think I will go for the ones detailed on the link. Might try the lbs though to make sure they fit and comfortable.
