Hi, I'm planning a road trip from Suffolk to London and back and am planning to incorporate the cycle path through the Lee Valley which I think starts in Limehouse. Can anyone confirm whether there's a continuous cycle path from Limehouse Basin to Ware, and is the surface good enough for a road-bike?

The same path goes to Hertford and I would not use my road bike on there. I have used my MTB several times.

There's some info about it on the internet if you search.

I've cycled from victoria park as far as broxbourne. (I believe it does terminate near the wharf.)
You could get away with a road bike for it. Preferable to use a CX bike. There are a few cobbled speed humps in the first few miles. I prefer to hit them as fast as I can. Your experience may differ ;)
