Are the rear mech hangers supplied on Italian built Colnago frames too flexy? I changed the hanger on a Cervelo to a Wheels Manufacturing one and it improved shifting, could it be the same for Colnago?

Strange question Cervelo are Canadian not Italian
  • Both frames are made in the far east though.

Replace with wheels manufacturing replacement drop outs for a slightly crisper change.

My Colnago is made in Italy. The hanger may be made in the far east. Very hard to find the correct hanger waiting to hear back from Wheels.

It could also be that the new hanger fit at just a slightly different angle due to manufacturing tolerances and just happens to make shifts better. I always put an alignment tool to any new hanger. Don't assume a new hanger is just a bolt on and ride.
