Hi there,

Im new to the site and have bought myself, my wife and my 6 year old boy a mountain bike o nthe ride 2 work scheme,

can anyone recommend a good starting point trail for families.

We live near thickly and have done Buck woods and the canal.

Someone mentioned that there is a place near odsal (off road).

Any help would be great

I thought someone would have replied to this already, but they haven't so i will try.
There is an off-road trail around Bradford that's flat and long (at least 6 miles). I did it once with my kids before we moved house. I looked for it yesterday on the net, but couldn't find it on the various maps i tried. i think there are some downloadable maps. Queensbury to Thornton maybe? You're probably referring to the Spen Valley Greenway - the main access for you would be from Victoria Park, Oakenshaw, parking up at Cross Road and riding across the park to the Greenway entrance. It's about 7 miles long and a converted railway line with some interesting features along the way.
