What fork would you expect on a £2000 bike?

Please bear with me if this is a stupid question, but I am looking for a new bike and have been offered a full-sus Scott with a decent discount from a local shop.
I am due to test it next week, but I keep wondering about the fork.
(It has a reba 29 fork.)
Is that a poor choice of fork on a 2 grand bike?

It's about right. Perfectly good fork. I can't think of a better Rockshox short travel 29er fork except maybe a SID and thats not much better.
It's not all just about the fork, theres the whole package to consider.

I personally wouldn't expect anything less than a Reba on a 2K bike. Decent fork though and light. Also very easy to service at home. I'd always take a Reba over the Fox equivalent.

RS revelation, Manitou tower - a 29er reba is quite flexy

The 29er Revelation is very flexy. But if its a 100mm Reba then the Rev isn't an alternative. They have the same dampers anyway. The Reba is the short travel alternative to the Revelation.

the reba comes with an RCT3 damper?

Not al revs come with the RCT3 damper, many have the simpler rl, which is used on the Reba.
