I think that's unfair as you're the one who gets to ride it at the end

I forgot 29ers are taboo on these forums
Glad you found a positive with the pedals though0 -
Sorry, I mean if you have to get a 29Er hard tail then I suppose you got the best one out there- 5 star reviews everywhere. Why you would want a 29Er hard tail is a different matter...0

With the scheme we use in work, I was very limited to what was available. The thought of having a £1000 bike tax free appealed to me. Didn't really need a new bike to be honest (don't tell the wife). I am more than happy with my Soul, but for a small sacrifice out of my wage each week I thought "why not try a 29er"? The Scott was probably the best available to me. I will also be using it to commute and the occasional family ride0 -

I have a slight concern about the rear brake hose being routed down the downtube and under the bb. What are the thoughts on these downtube protectors?

Waste of time, the BB isn't low enough for it to be an issue.0

On my Chinese Carbon frame, the rear brake cable is routed the same as yours, there is no issue with it, so don't worry too much.
The bike looks good though, always liked the Scales, is this going to get the same colour coding treatment as the Soul?0 -
