Discussing y-day how you establish if you need another bike.

Recalled the correct formula n+1. Where 'n' at any point is the number of bikes you have. :)

    I have 3 bikes so that the wear rate is spread. That's what I tell the missus anyway.

    So for me it's: (N + 1)/3

    We can apply to so many more things than just bikes though. I think this is a genius formula, I just warn the missus every time I find a new hobby that is subject to n+1. I suspect I will be in trouble should it ever extend to cars or mistresses though.

    Out of curiosity, should the 2nd and 3rd bikes have the same saddle as the N bike...?

    Surely your butt gets used to a certain saddle...?

    It's a chore. Saddle swap shop has not yielded anything yet.
