Hi I just bought my new sportif 1.5 from Evans today and i was just surfing the web and I noticed the model below it the 2.1 has Tiagra components and my setup has sora .
Anyone know why the 1.5 has lower groupset than the 2.1?

heres the 2.1

The 2014 '1' series (non female specific) are basically cyclocross bikes it seems.

Would not say its so much the model below it, as more to the side.

Its only the rear mech that is Tiagra. The indexing is done from the shifters which are Sora.
    Tiagra is still 10 speed.

Sora has just been updated so is pretty much as good I reckon and I would prefer all Sora on your bike personally.

Will be interesting to see what Shimano do with Tiagra as its now the oldest groupset.

Two completely different bikes, which can't really be compared. One is a disk frame with a press-fit BB, the other is a standard caliper frame, with a standard BB shell. As said, only the rear mech is Tiagra on the 2.1 anyway. You haven't been ripped off, if that's what you're thinking...
