Vitus Rapide 275 - anyone ridden one?

Hello I'm considering buying a Vitus Rapide 275 - the one thing holding me back is that I can't find any reviews of it.
The cheaper Vitus Sentier 275 VR just won hardtail of the year in sub £1000 bracket in MBR but bizarrely has been discontinued by Vitus and if it hadn't I would have bought one of them.
This will be my first mountain bike but I've been a keen road cyclist for ten years and no the false economy in buying a cheap bike (if you can afford a more expensive one) when you're likely to want to upgrade at a later date. Hence deciding on this one potentially.
If anyone has some real life experience of this bike I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks.
